Arts, Culture and Public Art Strategy
The City has initiated an Arts, Culture and Public Art Strategy. The Strategy will set the path forward for Cornwall to become a destination for the arts showcasing and celebrating the diverse cultures in Cornwall. The Strategy will provide direction on incorporating public art in the City, particularly the waterfront.
The Arts, Culture and Public Art Strategy will be developed over the next few months through broad based community engagement, with an aim to present to Council by the end of the year.
There will be many opportunities to share your thoughts to help shape the Strategy. Over the coming month the team is looking forward to hearing from you

NOTICE FOR PUBLIC WORKSHOP
The City is currently developing an Arts, Culture and Public Art Strategy. The Strategy will set the path forward for Cornwall to become a destination for the arts showcasing and celebrating the diverse cultures in Cornwall. The strategy will provide direction on incorporating public art in the City, particularly the waterfront.
The second public workshop is scheduled for Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at the Cornwall Public Library.
The public workshop will begin with a presentation on what we’ve heard so far, the draft Arts & Culture Strategy and the framework for the Public Art Plan. There are two sessions with the same presentation, so please join the time that best suits your schedule.

Stratégie pour les arts, la culture et l’art public
POUR UN ATELIER PUBLIC
La Ville est en voie d'élaborer une stratégie pour les arts, la culture et l’art public. Celle-ci orientera l'avenir de Cornwall en tant que destination artistique, mettant en valeur et célébrant la diversité des cultures de la ville. La stratégie fournira également des directives pour l'intégration de l'art public à la Ville, en particulier le long du secteur riverain.
Le deuxième atelier public est prévu pour le mardi 7 octobre 2025 à la Bibliothèque publique de Cornwall.
L'atelier débutera par une présentation sur ce que nous avons entendu jusqu'à présent, sur la version préliminaire de la stratégie pour les arts et la culture, ainsi que sur le cadre du plan d'art public. Il y aura deux séances avec la même présentation,
nous vous invitons donc à choisir l'heure qui vous convient le mieux.

Il n’est pas nécessaire d’être artiste pour partager vos idées — nous voulons entendre tous les membres de notre communauté !
