Help us identify new locations for public recycling bins!
Every year, the City of Cornwall's waste management division plans to add new recycling bins to public spaces. These bins encourage residents and visitors to recycle while they are using City parks, trails, and sidewalks.
You know your community best: where are you most often carrying recyclables, like plastic bottles and paper cups?
Use the tool below to suggest a location and vote on other ideas!
Here's how City staff will decide where five new bins can go:
- the first bin will be located at the corner of Ninth Street and Pitt Street
- two bins will be located in Le Village
- two bins will be located downtown
- bins must be on the boulevard in a public space
We will accept comments and suggestions until Tuesday, December 21.
Public space recycling bins are currently located...
- southwest corner of Pitt Street and Third Street
- southwest corner of Pitt Street and Second Street
- Citizen of the Year walkway in Lamoureux Park
- outside the Civic Complex
- Second Street east of Pitt Street
- intersection of Marlborough Avenue and Water Street East near seating area
- Montreal Road between Louisa Street and Alice Street
